| Lifecasting, or bodycasting,
is
the craft of molding a living body.
When done by an artist, with care and a critical eye, the result is an artwork of lasting beauty. I started lifecasting in 1986, partly to prove I could cast 'anything.' I use the direct plaster molding technique, and most of my sculptures are cast in glass-reinforced Hydrocal plaster. I also cast in concrete and plastic resin, because no plaster can survive for long outdoors. This site will acquaint you with my art, my methods, and my models.
